      Tonight the Golden Bears open the season with home game vs Elmwood Royals. In the first quarter, the Golden Bears struggled earlier, falling behind 14-0. Late in the first quarter, Madison Jaso rushed for a touchdown putting the score 6-14 at the end of the first. In the second quarter, The Golden Bears open up with a rushing touchdown by Ryan Clark added by a two point conversion making the game tied 14-14. Later on, Kane Gomez caught a touchdown from Ryan Clark making the score 22-14. At halftime the Golden Bears were up 34-20. In the third quarter, Ryan Clark rushed for his 3rd touchdown putting the Bears up 42-20. After that it was all Gibsonburg dominating the second half. In the fourth quarter Kane Gomez returned the kickoff to put away Elmwood 64-26. The Golden Bear defense forced 10 fumbles and recovered five of them. The offense had an explosive 453 total yards. Gibsonburg will travel to Lakota next Friday. Go Bears!
