      The Golden Bears open up in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference slate by scoring 38 points in the first quarter vs Toledo Christian. The routing continued throughout the game as the Golden Bears cruised to a 64-6 win over Toledo Christian. Kane Gomez opened the contest for the Golden Bears by returning an interception 23-yards for an 8-0 lead.

Gibsonburg then forced an Eagles' punt and the Golden Bears returned it 71 yards for a 16-0 lead after a two point conversion run by Gomez.

Gomez would later return a punt 70-yards for a score in the opening quarter and Madison Jaso would tack on a 35-yard touchdown run before the quarter came to an end. Quarterback Ryan Clark completed 8-of-8 passing for 140 yards and three touchdowns and added another 111 yards on the ground. The Golden Bears will travel to Tiffin Calvert for a huge matchup next Friday.
